The Plaza de Oriente is a square in the historic centre of Madrid, designed in 1844 by Narciso Pascual y Colomer. It is located between the Royal Palace to the west, the Teatro Real to the east, and the Royal Monastery of the Incarnation to the north. The plaza features statues of 44 Spanish kings.
